About CareNurse

My name is Lois, and I've been a Registered Nurse since 1967. I've worked in both local hospitals and a multi-specialty clinic. The last 8 1/2 years I worked for a local ENT Allergist, until I lost my job in June of 2007 due to health problems. I have two grown children, and two grandchildren.

My first website was On Patches and Bears. In the late 1990's, I created a section on "On Patches and Bears" to support nurses and help us cope. Both were hosted on my ISP server, as was common with websites back then. When I was able to get my own website domain, the nurses' site became care-nurse.com and later CareNurse.com. "On Patches and Bears" became a secondary site on the nurses' site.

Since the, I've created several websites (see "websites by CareNurse*" below), and I've been involved in numerous other web activities. I've not kept things up well in the past few years, though, because of some health problems. My apology page shares more about that. I've been working through these things as I am able.
